Finding balance between spiritual and material worlds take grace, meditation, prayer. The beaches, waves and ocean of Southern California offer the perfect environment for learning to surf, culture, playing in the sand. We tune in our mind and bodies and achieve a clearer vision of real whealth - our own self-stimulus package. @ UCSD Campus Dorms and Beaches.
Day One: Arrival to the Coast, UCSD La Jolla, CA
The infinite wisdom of the Pacific Ocean welcomes all as staff and participants gather. We begin with orientation to the sea and a re-freshing stretch of our minds and bodies. We will explore how health of mind, body and spirit play a role in obtaining real wealth. We will get into the water and have our first instruction in Surfing or for non-water folks, beach volleyball & native coastal games. We enjoy the famous San Diego coastal sunset and watch the dolphins as we get orientated.

Day Two: Surf, Sex Prevention, Drugs and Rock n’ Roll
Are life’s decision’s tough or what? Choosing the righteous road and the right soundtrack to life takes balance and meditation. After a morning of Surfing Class or Ocean Kayaking, students will spend some time sharing their knowledge on sexual prevention with a peer prevention specialist. Discussion and stories of challenges facing youth in their communities. In a non-threatening way, we will share formal knowledge and relaxed dialogue. Before dinner we will hit the waves again or begin working on a coastal culture project. After dinner, Professor Dr. Alan Lechusza (Ph.D.) joins us to lead a group discussion on modern musical expression and explore a shared wealth of rock, hip-hop, oldies, pow-wow, and traditional music. We will end the evening counting cash with an introduction to “Cash Flow.”

 |
Day Three: Surf, Rhythms, Culture, Cash Flow
Back to the beach in the morning for coastal class of surfing or cultural project. After lunch Dr. L. re-joins us as we bring back musical composition and expression to higher levels. We break for a nap, milk and cookies before gathering again for stretching bodies and minds. As our minds and bodies change and grow, we take a moment to meditate and become aware of the positive changes. After dinner, we gather at the beach, around the fire for cultural story-telling and know our roles as children and caretakers of earth mother. We return to dorms for more Cash Flow, and check our account balances.

Day Four: Surf and Balance
Tribal folks along the shores of “Turtle Island” were the first surfers. We maintained balance on our boards and with our minds and spirit. Our balance as a group and as a people rely on fine tuning ourselves to the right song and path. One more morning session of surf and balance before packing our new wealth stimulus-package for home, re-freshed.
